2020 Observations:

The word “co” in co-living now stands for “complete

November 2020

Armed with lockdown learnings, a new hospitality brand is born.

Expect “coming of age”, “of the times” and “woke” additions and adjustments that align with residents’ new and evolved demands and expectations.

Every hovoh home comes with an edible garden starter-kit, a work-from-home station, a wellness corner, contactless housekeeping, and communal areas have been turned into private work-pods.

What a difference a pandemic makes.

A leading brand in the boutique hospitality sector, CP Residences was, in 2019, proud to offer apartments and living arrangements designed to support the booming co-living trend. In Centrepoint, a development in the heart of Orchard Road, CP Residences provided 20 and 38 flats and rooms for rent. The accommodations enjoyed high occupancy.

But along came coronavirus, social distancing, and travel restrictions, and across the globe, as we hunkered down and went through city-wide lockdowns, embraced working-from-home trends, and safe distancing culture, behavioural shifts started to take shapes.

It’s important to note that hovoh is a brand conceived post-coronavirus.

“All of us have a new standard as to what a home needs to feel complete. Every hovoh home comes with an edible garden starter-kit, a work-from-home station, a wellness corner, contactless housekeeping, and communal areas have been turned into private work-pods. We are giving tenants more choice to customise the design of their spaces to best suit their lifestyle and a well-thought-out “contactless stay” plan, should that need arise.” – CMO, Xin Hui Helder-Eng

“Like the concept of an egg, which is a sustainable single-cell organism, designed to give life; for its inhabitant to thrive, Our model of complete homes is to offer you a sustainable personal and private space to call home,” Xin says. “You can have your own kitchen if you want. You can use our laundry or laundry service, or choose not to. You don’t have to go to the communal gym if you don’t wish to; you don’t have to mingle.” “We have noticed tenants utilising spaces to do video conferences and live broadcasts, and want to help transform our offerings and spaces to support that,” she adds.
